STATEMENT
My body of work combines nature, repurposed and symbolic approaches with gestural feeling of the curve to explore the visual images in drawing, sculpture and environmental sites when possible.
My work was very much inspired by Andy Goldsworthy’s work. I use nature materials in its surroundings when find suitable sites to create the art and document it with photographs and/ or recording nature sounds for future references. And collecting nature materials where is possible to install the art piece.
I also put together found objects and repurposed elements in Simplicity forms or designs inspired by Joan Miro and Henry Moore’s sculptures.
Growing up as a Thai Chinese individual, symbolism and language play a big role in her work, including some simple Thai words or phrases such as “ผูกไมตรี” (Bonding relationship), “พ่อแม่ลูก” (Family) has been a recurring subject matter.
